Explorers Post 632 - BalloonSat

This post exposes Explorers to the technology and careers behind satellites by developing and flying a BalloonSat payload for a high altitude balloon. Our goal is to: Build, Test, Launch and Recover a payload to 100,000 ft. Our next flight is planned for Saturday, 21 April, Sandusky County Regional Airport 10:15 EDST. Meet at the DEB parking lot at 7:00 AM, to leave at 7:15. Check the news item for more information.

Prediction for High Altitude Balloon Flight 2007A. Paths for 1000 ft/min rise rate (the shorter one) and 800 ft/min. Assumes 45 min descent. 30min would be more accurate. Est range 40-45 mi, 135 deg.
